For those of you that don't know, Eidos has sold the Hitman series after the semi success of Contracts, to Tigon Studios, owned by Vin Diesel, who is going to play the voice in the next edition. I'm not saying this is a bad move but I don't think they've expected such a success with the next one; the end of the game is like a revenge for this marketing move. You must be under twelve years old or searching for your inner child to even think about playing this one. It seems that with the sexual maturation of Harry, EA decided to go educational and center this new production on under-aged gamers. This was to be expected. There is a Harry industry out there, and all that matters is the gain. They know that a good father will not refuse his son "the new adventures of Harry and Co.". The rest of us - those who are not parents - will have to settle with the hope that someday there will be a gothic-kinda'-RPG involving J.K. Rowling's universe. The battlefield is where your tactical skills are best put to work, but if you don't wish to engage in battles you can just let the computer play for you (turns up he does a pretty good job and succeeds in not wasting your forces, sometimes it's even more efficient to let him do the fighting than recklessly loose more troops than necessary). Your battalions will need to be retrained to compensate for any casualties and that will cost you money, but retraining can be useful if you happened to add any new buildings to your city that improves your units' armor or weapon proficiency. Velen?s prayers for help were only answered (unexpectedly I may add) by the benevolent naaru. These energy beings offered to guide the prophet and as many followers as he considers necessary to safety. Those trustworthy of our people were gathered quietly and prepared for the escape. It?s breaking my heart every time I tell this story ? we needed to escape from our own homeworld. By the time we fled Argus, Sargeras already began to turn the willing eredars to demons. We could no longer find ourselves in the new believes of the eredar so we were dubbed draenei ? the ?exiled ones?. Although you'll be quite safe from the usual resource micro-management, the people won't prove such an easy task. They need to be trained and sent to work in the different facilities available at base or they'll just rest in the residential area while things go nowhere on your brand new planet, so keep a close eye on their activities. And again that's not all you need to do. There are ten menus (eleven if you count the library that stores every data available to you to that point) and each of them hides plenty of other windows for a complete briefing along with task appointments. The nice settings are completed with beautiful skies where clouds mingle in with sun rays and smoke effects. The water is also spectacular and it is quite relaxing to see the water respond to your planes gentle touch over it (watch out - you crash if you're not careful). The speed is simulated with a well designed all around blurring effect that fits perfectly with the rest of well selected visuals. This is yet a great achievement as the game although based on the poor Renderware engine, succeeds in catching the eye (although the close up view is not one of the strongest points). In other news, Video Strip Poker Supreme is not a serious poker game for heavy-duty poker vets. The game is severely tweaked in the good sense of strip poker games. Your randy opponents usually express judgments about their hands: "Omg! Such an awful hand, Yoda received, he has", or "I am so going to kickass", and even "I am good? let's just keep playing". The rate of "omg4ever" hands may be driven through a consistent series of wine gulps from crystal chalices. (Dude, if they had filled those "recipients" with some good ol' Merlot, the poor girls would not have stood a chance!) However, this does not explain the fall of the communist grasp over the Eastern Europe. What happened then? The socialist working class - the front line in the war against prosperity - learned about the existence of bliss embodied in Microsoft Windows Solitaire. It is clear as daylight what happened next. Each metallurgist threw his hammer and sickle directly at the iron curtain and joined the office workers' class to assist the improvement of card shuffling and dealing techniques. A lucky coincidence? Today one is learning Windows programming, tomorrow the communist block falls. Kerberos Productions developers bring us Sword of the Stars, an economical strategy and tactical space combat hybrid placed in a Sci-Fi universe where survival of the fittest is the law. Aliens Shooter Interactive launched the game in the US and Canada on August 22, 2006, only to continue with the steadily release in localized versions all over the world during the following months. In what appears to be a rather old game concept, Sword of the Stars brings us the thrill of building up lasting space empires out of nothing and the inevitable power struggle against enemy alien nations. The Theban tactic I am referring to consists in fighting only with your strongest flank, refusing confrontation with your weaker one, until your foe exposes enough his flanks in its attempt to close in and fully engage. In short, while your strong wing advances, your weak one retreats. In practice, one could throw his cavalry through the newly created gap. In Alexander, as in all other Rome Total War games, such things are impossible, because as soon as one unit is caught in the heat, the whole regiment gets stuck there rendering i
